Our lithics keychain is the perfect accessory for both paleoanthropologists and latter-day cavemen! Lithic-reduction, also known as knapping, or flintknapping, is the process of chipping or grinding stones in order to create useful shapes. For the vast majority of human prehistory, the creation of stone tools represented the height of technology!
This keychain, consists of three hinged parts, representing the "core" from which the stone tool is made, and a "flake" which has been removed from the core for further work, and finally, the finished product, a stone handaxe.
